Sibenik is the capital of the Sibenik and Knin county that has around 152 000 inhabitants in 12 communities, 194 villages and 5 towns. Sibenik has around 55 000 inhabitants. Middle part of the region is divided in two parts with a wide canyon of rivers Krka and Cikola, and Prukljansko jezero lake with the Channel of Sibenik, but at the same time river Krka was always connecting and integrating the areas of north and middle Dalmatia into a unique region, the Sibenik area. River Krka has a special importance for its
potentials and water reserves and for its natural values and touristic
attractions. Sea and coast also have great natural and economic value,
where tourism is developed in many villages known for its natural ambient,
architectural heritage and diversity of tourist offer. Sea is the regions greatest value with coast of 56,2
km measured from point to point, and real length 805,9 km. Biggest river
is river Krka that goes through many cascades (Miljacka, Manojlovac, Town of Sibenik is cultural, educational, administrative
